At Taeaomanino, we provide alcohol and drug counselling support for Pacific people and their families living in Wellington, Porirua, and the Kapiti Coast. Our services are free and available to both Pacific and non-Pacific families.

Our Aim

Promote responsible use of alcohol

Reduce health risks related to alcohol and drug use

Enable (Support?) families and communities to take control of and improve their health by reducing harmful substance use
Our Services Include

Screening and brief intervention

Comprehensive assessment

Alcohol and drug treatment, therapy, support, and case management (individual and family/whānau/aiga inclusive)

Integrated care for co-existing addiction and mental health concerns

Development of cultural interventions and link

Support for families and whānau, including additional interventions as needed

Liaison and consultation with health providers, including mental health and other agencies

Community development services

Referrals to appropriate services and agencies

Ongoing support to strengthen recovery, reduce relapse risk, and promote harm reduction
Each service user receives support tailored to their individual needs, including their level of substance use, related challenges, and readiness for change.
