Social Worker - Te Hapori
Taeaomanino Trust is a Pacific Social Service organisation that strives to deliver better outcomes for Pacific People within the Greater Wellington Region. The service has particular expertise in providing social and counselling support to people from diverse cultural backgrounds, many with high and complex needs.
We are seeking to employ an extra-ordinary registered Social Worker in our Youth and Children’s Team. You must be passionate about working with people and able to hold high aspirations for young people and their families. The successful applicant will need to be exceptional in their social work practise, persistent and calm in their approaches to providing support, can navigate challenging situations and detailed in their administration of case files.
Our Social Worker will have the following qualification and skills:
▪ Social Work qualification
▪ Current registration with Social Worker Registration Board;
▪ Experience working with youth or vulnerable people
▪ Ability to build rapport and trust quickly and respectfully with young people and their whānau / aiga
▪ Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with professionals to support access to services
Your relationship management focus will allow you to engage with individuals at all levels, diverse ethnicities and backgrounds to support best practice across Taeaomanino and interagency stakeholders. It goes without saying you'll be a high level communicator capable of establishing rapport and credibility quickly with a diverse audience.

• Holds a current full clean NZ Drivers Licence

Team Leader - Whanau Ora (part time)

The role of Team Leader is a Permanent Part-time position providing leadership excellence and practice support to our Whanau Ora team.
The person we are looking for will have demonstrated and proven skills and experience to provide purposeful and agile leadership to the team members that ensures meaningful outcomes for service users and their families. This contract is KPI driven, so we are looking for a person with an understanding of how to meet targets at a high standard.
Having a tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential for this role. Hands on experience at an operational level, is integral to be member of Taeaomanino Trust. An understanding and experience in the application of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and other key legislations relevant in this type of work will be an advantage. You will also hold a current full driving license and have exceptional time management skills, attention to detail, a team member that is both willing to share experience/skills and recognise that there is still an opportunity to keep learning.
You will have exceptional relationship management skills and focus will allow you to engage with individuals at all levels, ethnicities and backgrounds to support ‘Best Practice’ across Taeaomanino and interagency stakeholders. It goes without saying you'll be a high-level communicator capable of establishing rapport and credibility quickly with a diverse audience.

• Registered professional (desirable) Social Worker or NZAC / DAPAANZ
• Holds a current full NZ Drivers Licence (required)
• Team player and is willing to learn from others
• Is a NZ citizen, or holds NZ Residency
